Firehole Pottery
Carl Sheehan

Montana master potter Carl Sheehan has been producing his unique style of hand crafted pottery since 1978. He uses the age old tool, the potter's wheel, to fashion clays of stoneware and porcelain into his signature line of contemporary American ceramics.
As resident artist in Yellowstone National Park for more than 25 years, Carl has developed a distinctive landscape glaze motif, a reflection of his passion for the inspirational grandeur of the vast landscape of Yellowstone and the Rocky Mountain West.
Each piece of "thrown" pottery is hand glazed and fired in a gas kiln to 2340 degrees Fahrenheit. All Firehole Pottery is lead-free and food, dishwasher, and microwave safe. Carl's individually signed creations may be found in collections around the world.
