Mike Hays has been creating pottery since age 11 and has created his own special style. All the pieces are wheel thrown, high fire stone ware and true porcelain. His designs resemble the look of batiked fabrics. The shapes are hand drawn using a wax resist technique.  He uses quartz type and lead free glazes. They are harder and more durable than glass glazes, and are fused to the surface of the piece.    7989.png

All the pieces are microwave and dishwasher safe. They can be warmed in an oven, but should never be put on a direct flame of a hot surface.
